July 23rd, 2009: Adele at Massey Hall

This video was taken a while ago, April ’09 to be exact. T and I had the pleasure of witnessing this immaculate creature we call Adele play live! I should have shared this earlier cause the show was that awesome, but for some reason, I forgot. Anyway, I finally remembered and managed to upload this clip to Vimeo for your viewing pleasure. This was her opening act – Cold Shoulder. Stupendous.

Don’t worry, I didn’t sing along while recording this. I learned my lesson, that when I sing along, the video automatically becomes unwatchable (unbearable even).

Anyway, I love Adele. I truly do. Her authenticity cannot be questioned. It’s like when you eat a burger and you get to the middle of that burger, and then you see that the burger is actually medium rare, and then, from that point on, you can’t help but think, “oooohhh yeah! that’s the real deal! Real meat! Where have you been my whole life?”

Well, that’s like watching or listening to Adele. You look at her and you’re like, “yeah, looks real let’s give her a shot!” Then you actually listen to her stuff, and then you realize that you can’t stop listening to her stuff, and then it gets to the point where you go, “oohhh yeah that’s the real deal! Real music! Where have you been?! Period.”

So yeah, Adele’s kind of like a big deal for me.

That and I’m actually Anglophilic (so really, all this rave about Adele being awesome could be baseless. Hmm, maybe, you be the judge of that).

Enjoy the clip! It’s pretty wikkid.
